i dont know why but it won't let me add to my OP but I am a cash buyer not involved in a chain. The survey showed up a few things - the rendering needs a little work. When my initial offer was accepted it was stated that it would only be on the proviso that there was not to be any further negotions. Should I try to see if I can re-negotiate

well you can try, but youre taking the risk of the seller pulling out.
I think should depend on how much any work is likely to cost. If you get a quote which suggests costs in the thousands, then it might be worth trying to re-negotiate, but if not, don't bother.
