help with selling ??

we brought our flat from the council 4 years ago in august and if we sell before 5 years we have to offer them first refusal and pay back some of the discount . we have had sumone from haart to value it this morning . so now i have to9 write a letter to the council to see if they wanna buy it but need help not very good writing letters also do i have to tell the council how much it was valued at ???

get the estate agent to do a details leaflet for the house and post one of them to the council

In our area you tell the council you are selling the house.
They then tell you how much you owe them.
You pay this back to the council from the proceeds of the sale of the house.
Our council doesn't buy houses back.
I thought this was the rule generally,but not in your area obviously.

I think the coucil will send someone to value it for them and not take your value.

Would not the calculation be based on the value when you bought it?

i think if they want to but it back then they send sumone out to value it but if say like they valued it at 100,000 and then we could say no we have it valued at 120,000 then we take it from there but i just want to know how to write this letter or word it ?
