I posted this in law too, but thought i would post here as it seemed suitable.
We need to sell our house to clear the mortgage, and pay off our debts.
We will then have to move in with my dad and his family till we can get sorted.
My question is, will we be able to get help to find housing, via council or housing association to find accomodation? or will we be classed as voluntarily homeless?
My husband had to give up work due to illness, and i need to be at home to care foe the children b4 and after school, so i am only able to work part time, so we just dont have the money to pay our mortgage anymore.
We have had to use credit cards to live the last 6 months, and have not paid our mortgage for 3 months now we just cant pay to live and i hate it!
Im so worried that we will be homeless once the house is sold, i just dont want to wait till they throw us out.
We will lose our possessions, and wont get enough to pay our debts.
HELP!!!

Sheribee............please go and see the Citizen's Advice Bureau as soon as possible. They are very good at this sort of problem.............good luck.
Hi sheribee

I would also go to your local Housing Options and ask there advice too before you become homeless. You may be entitled to Housing Benefit. The fact that you have two school aged children will bear some weight and they mat even be able to offer you some help to pay off the arrears do you don't have to sell.

Please keep us posted.

Good luck.
