Do you rent from a private landlord, letting agency, housing authority etc???

the house is owed by a private landlord, but he has a letting agent who collects the rent each month if thats any thing to go by.the rent was due this week and the day after it was due the letting agent phone me while me and my family was on holiday in GRAN CANERIES.the following day,i ask you.
hows the agent supposed to know where you are when he calls?

i dont think that asbestos is considered a health risk unless its being broken up. Many old properties have some asbestos within them.

have you been withholding rent for a few months?
Question Author
NO!!
we are now and again a week late but never anymore than that.i love gardening and iv spent over 1,000 doing it out.
when he gave us a visit 3 months ago,he ask'd way "I" GOING TO KNOCK THE WALL DOWN THAT WAS FALLING OVER AND DO A DRIVE.my partner soon put a stop to that as all im doing i putting value on the property.
Well.......damp is usually due to poor ventilation. Have you tried airing the house, opening windows etc after baths or showers?

If a wall is falling down, then it's the LLs responsibility unless its you who have damaged the wall?

I cant see why you would 'start having problems' with asbestos? If you leave it alone it is fine. What are the problems youre having with it?

'Kitchen falling apart'? What does that mean?

If you really want some answers you need to say more clearly what the problems are. And what has the Canary Islands got to do with it?

There are very few occasions where its legal to withhold rent, and this doesnt sound like one.
The flat I let, now has damp walls and mould. She keeps complaining about it and I've advised that it poor ventilation and lack of heat on cold days.

She swore she keeps the heat on, but I've since been to the flat and have found it's cold and the radiators are off. She obviously can't afford the fuel bills and is ruining my property in the process.
