My partner and i want to buy a house in Luton as he been transferred for work I have been up and had a look around the town center and am happy. Could any one possibly tell which are the nicest areas in luton to buy and which areas I should not, as when i search for property on the internet all the prices vary.

Also if anyone could tell which areas are the worst for plane noise I would be very grateful as i dont trust the estate agents (Im sure there are some very honest ones but i would rather go in there with prior knowledge so if one does try to fleece me over by saying its in a nice area with not much plane noise just to get a sale I will be pre papared). I would love to live near the town center but you do get alot for your money living on the outskirts.

Many Thanks

Avoid Marsh farm, hockwell ring, lewsey farm and bury park, also the Dallow area. Some parts of Leagrave are nice and there is no noise from aircraft as it's approx 5 miles away from the airport. Your gonna have aircraft noise if your within two miles of the airport. Good Luck.x
Town centre and areas close to it are affected by plane noise. Please steer clear of Hockwell Ring as it is hell on earth. Caddington is nice though. Good luck.x
