My rent has gone up by nearly 7.00, which I think is extortionate. How do I go about appealing? Am I in danger of my rent rising even further if it is found that I indeed should be paying more rent? Is there a website I can visit so I can find out how much rent I should be paying for my house? The property belongs to a housing association. Would appreciate any advice

7 out of a total rent of what? Need to be talking percentage figures.
Per week or month?
7 doesn't sound like much - is it a typo?

The rent was 90 per week, has now gone up to 97 per week. I feel its too much, maybe I'm wrong.
I wouldn't mind my housing cost being 97 per week...enough said ;o)
same here Pippa. I remember my mortgage rising every single month a few years back.
sorry pmy, i dont think you have grounds for complaint if it wasnt a fixed rental.
