My council tax is band F and is £208 per month, my neighbour is band E, I've been on the online calculator which works out what band you should be in going by the value of your house in 1991 and mine should be band E.

The council however say I need proof from an estate agent that my house was worth x amount in 1991 but estate agents say they don't keep records that far back, any advice please?

I've tried that but the council won't go by any of them, they insisted on estate agents prices
What about the Land registry it cost me £4 to get information like
old newspapers maybe? Llibraries or the newspapers themselves may hold archives.
Maybe moving would be easier! ;-)

Hows things? Other than your council tax problems!

I might try bunging an estate agent a few quid to put something in writing for me.

Oi Oi Ruby, moving's not an option, I love it here, I just think £208 is taking the pee
