Using supermarket flowers for a party

We're trying to save money by using stargazer lilies in tall vases rather than pay a florist. But I've noticed that the blooms don't all open together. How do I force them to open at once?

You can't. You can force them to open faster but not all at the same time as they will be at different development stages up the stem. If you buy them as few days early and keep them in a warm room with good light there will come a time when they are all open at the same time.
