Is it OK to put bones down my waste disposal unit?

There are different models of waste disposal units. The instructions for each model will say what can be safely put down them. Some have only hard plastic parts, where bones would ruin them. Others are high-grade stainless steel that will take almost anything short of metal items. (Though they don't like football boot laces, as I've found out !!).
If you've no instructions, try contacting the manufacturer for advice, quoting the model number.
