It is just two different names for the same plant but the products are not the same! Huh... Yes it is exactly the same plant which produces both fibres and seeds for oil, when it is planted for seeds it is called linseed and is planted further apart and given better attention during growth to get the best seed product, when it is grown for fibre it is called flax and it is planted close together and given less attention as the fibre quality will be the same anyway.
