My lawn is growing a crop of nettles at one edge, any suggestions of how to treat without killing off the grass?

there is a weedkiller that will kill weed not grass called verdant...a soluble option. This one does what it says...I have ruined my grass in the past with others that make the claim but fail miserably.....I now have no weeds in my lawns at all...after a lot of work and reseeding and lots of feeding etc....a new house i bought 4 years ago the lawns had previously...

Leave them - they encourage butterflies, maybe just tidy them back a bit.
I think it's good to keep a little bit of indigenous flora in one's garden !
As long as they aren`t in the way too much, leave alone, as not enough people help butterflies to breed these days.
trim then and make soup...
Plus - you can eat them (seriously) make wine out of them and make string out of the stems.
dig out the roots before they spread or you wont have much of a lawn by the end of the summer!
Providing the grass is cut weekly, they will not take over the lawn and yes a patch of 'stingers' will help the wildlife. If they need to go, then they are not too bad to dig out or go for the easy route. Cover the grass near adjacent to the nettle patch and spray with Roundup or similar containing Glyphosate using a coarse spray when the new growth is about 3" high.
