Is there any reason why spraying tomato plants with Cheshunt compound would not be effective in preventing tomato blight? And if so, are there any reasons why I shouldn't try it?

I can't find anywhere where it says it would work. If there are fruit on the plant, rinse them well before eating
The smell of Cheshunt is bad enough when I spray young seedlings and cuttings to chance tomatoes tasting of it for my liking.
