wHEn YOU wanT to REmoVE tHe dead thaTCH of GRASS oR MOSS from iT.
Late spring so that the grass can recover before the summer or early autumn so it can strengthen before winter sets in - any overseeding will also be more effective. Dont tackle when the ground is too wet..........or dry!
I did ours this past week-end so if the gound is dry and not frosty, you can probably make a start now. You might want to keep the moss in a heap in your garden somewhere as the birds may be grateful for some of it for their nest building.
When your wife tells you to. ( if its snowing or not )
If you have moss in your lawn treat it first as otherwise when you start scarifying you will spread the live spores over a larger area, and probably make any problem worse!!
Love your answer dustypuss
