I live in a ground floor flat where the bathroom window is sealed shut, for security I guess.

Dead wasps keep appearing in the bathroom though and it's really been freaking me out as I have no idea where they are coming from.

I never see a live one in the flat and never see a dead one anywhere else but in the bathroom.

Naturally, all the windows are closed whenever I'm not in the flat.

I just can't understand where they are coming from, just come home now and have counted about 6/7 dead scattered round the bathroom,

Has anyone got any ideas as it's got me well and truly stumped.

have you got halogen bulbs - they attract wasps.

I think it might be a halogen bulb.

They might explain why the bathroom then but am still flummoxed as to how they all get in there.
don't wish to scare you, no chance there's a nest in the ceiling above the bathroom? No tiny holes in the corners etc? Try leaving bathroom door closed - assume there's no airvent/fan etc. See if that works? Good luck
Just saw this and agree with above....it's usually a nest nearby! Had one before ,so look for tell-tale signs of entry, and when you find it, sprinkle a liberal amount of Derris Dust there. Do it well before dusk-they will be out of the nest then-and this will prevent them from returning!

Thank you both, that's been my worry as they seem to appear from nowhere! Will try leaving the door closed which should confirm it.

There is a hole in the ceiling where it looks like some dodgy electrics were done and has never been filled so am wondering if they are getting in there.

Will have another check round in case there are any others.

There isn't any ventilation, I've put some damp traps about but it's just not the same.

I've finally had enough and am moving in a few weeks and so many problems with the flat which just aren't getting sorted including dodgy electrics and leaking water in the bathroom and damp.
