Can anyone outline the advantages or otherwise of a camomile lawn? My partner is intending to plant one in our front garden and insists this will be the best thing to have as it won't need mowing. My mother has warned me that every cat in the area will flock there! It's not the cats I object to, it's what they will do!

My feeling is that if they were so wonderful and user-friendly more people would have them.

Any help would be gratefully received, as this will be quite a financial outlay.

take a look here for some good info.

Cost is probably why they are not widely used and also the upkeep of them. Although they do not need mowing they will need weeding and this can not be done with chemicals as a lawn can be and will need to be hand weeded (a lot of work and longer than mowing).

I would not recommend it if the areas is large.

Many thanks for that, Hawkwalk.

I think it needs to be given bit more thought, particularly in terms of the area covered.

Good advice and a great link, thank you.
