Hi Does anyone know if the weedkiller sodium clorate kill the weed marestail/horsetail

I would say yes to your question, but it will also kill the earth, making it untenable for at the very least, a year.

I use it on my paths, but I no longer have any children, and no pets.

Just wanted to be sure as it is now over a huge swathe of my garden, that is clear of any plants at the moment
I am sure that it came from bags of the inviormental safe compost that we put down last spring.

sodium chlorate apprently takes 4 to 6 months to leave the ground.

not quite the year some peolpe say

most people use it on my allotment and are growing with in 4 months or so
