can anyone tell me why my garden has been overrun with giant slugs 4"-6". I haver never noticed them before, they decided to perch themselves in my rabbits food. Are they normally this size and how can I prevent them coming back?

Are you in the UK? mild winters and generally wet conditions will have allowed all the slimy things to prosper and the curent humid climate will allow them to parade themselves more instead of having to stay in damp places. Generally, keep your garden clear of leafy waste and damp areas, keep pet ducks, which are said to eat them, don't leave the rabbit food available over night. I agree, they are pretty gross
Sprinkle salt or soot around the outside of the hutch area - either will keep them away.
