Black Plastic Sink

Hi All,

I have just moved into my new house and i have noticed the black plastic sink in the kitchen has gone very white in places, not sure if this is wear and tear of it is limescale. i have tried cleaning it but it hasnt gone away. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to restore the black as i really dont want to have to buy and have fitted a new sink?
