Way back in September 06 I was given some good advice by Thunderbird on a problem with my 200mm round cactus. Having got over all this and watering very sparingly I find that there are two nodules appearing on the top of it, which I take to be new plant growths. I will look into literature on this but would value any comments.
further more if things go all right with it I would like to repot - again any advice app.

Re- re-potting. Use a cacti compost, a garden centre will stock this, and use a pot just slightly larger than the present one. To avoid getting prickles in your hand ,wrap newspaper around the plant, once you have placed a little compost into the bottom of the new pot. The newspaper will not damage your hand or the plant! I think the nodules could well be flower buds.

Thanks for reply Bromsgrove, yes I thought this myself,. but I guess I'll have to wait a while and see what comes of the nodules - and as I say get a book or internet.
