Nicotene and caffeine :-)
A large organic eggie, boiled for four and three quarter minutes, a slice of sour dough bread toasted, cut into soldiers and buttered with locally made organic butter, a glass of organic, English apple juice and a pot of Gunpowder Green tea. Oh, and a tomato from my greenhouse, sprinkled with Maldon Salt. On my verandah. In the sunshine. With the Telegraph.
a bowl of boring old shreddies and a glass of water. Kim.A can I have breakfast at your house tomorrow?
Kim A, you made me very envious. I ate my breakfast at my work desk. It was Malt Wheats (Tesco's version of Shreddies) covered with a Toffee Mullerlite yoghurt and some semi-skimmed milk, followed by a pre-pack of mango/melon/blueberries, washed down with an expresso coffee. I eat at work as I get up at 06:15 and can't face eating that early in the morning.
Sorry, loves! My verandah only seats two (four at a real push), so someone's going to be disappointed.....................and I'm not really sure the old man would be too chuffed................xxx
Cholla ? ... what, the cactus ?
how jealous am i of KIm A, i had a sandwich at my desk as per usual although i treat myself on the weekends and go out for brunch
Naz, Cholla is a kind of enriched golden bread, originating from the Jewish community. Mcfluff, I'm so glad we're not the only ones (me and Mr A) who still do brunch at the weekend. If you are near Arundel in Sussex, I can recommend Le Zinc. Scrambled eggs on Poilane bread with either crispy bacn or smoked salmon and chives, or plain with chives, glass fs OJ with bits, fab coffee, not cheap, but just sooooooooooo civilised.

Naz... that made me laugh; a slice of toasted cactus, with jam on! Oh well, it might be nice... no I meant the bread, which is sometimes called challah, a slightly sweet plaited bread with an eggwash glaze - very nice one from my local farmers market. (As was the Kentish Bramble jam - luscious, shiny, sloppy and bursting with bobbles of lovely blackberry).

Kim's breakfast sounded okay... until the very end when the Telegraph got mentioned. Yeccchh.
Sorry, backdrifter. Didn't mean to spoil your day! Bit of a crossword fiend, me. Has to be done!

Kim, I understand, and forgive you your Telegraph aberration for your interesting replies, good taste and sense with food, and liking for crosswords.
Kim A, it puts my own dippy egg, with soldiers and a glass of fresh orange a bit in the shade
Big kiss, Backdrifter! but don't tell Mr A ..................
beef curry , fried rice and prawn crackers.
Question Author
Nonsense Kim - yours sounds terrific. Better, in some ways - I much prefer your orange juice to Kim's apple.

I wonder if, like me, you like a big glass of orange chilled to near-arctic temperatures. I've taken to putting the glass and the juice in the freezer while I prepare the food. Sometimes the juice reaches the point where little ice crystals are JUST starting to form. Oh, man!

And - thank you Kim.

Sorry, I meant Julie at the start of that last post

Mine was my usual, shreddies in skimmed milk, tea and a banana. No where near is interesting as Kim A's

Shaney had a Bonio.
Ohh, that porridge variation sounds good, shaneystar! Can't face it at the moment - too hot, but come the winter, commeth the porridge...............................mmm!mmm!
