I bought some sausages the other day and have left them in the fridge still in the packet, the sell by date is tomorrow so they are fine to eat but since i have put them in the fridge they have little "blobs" of fat all over their surface?? I've never seen this before and was wondering if they are ok to eat still?? Thanks

Do the smell 'off' or feel slimy/sticky?

If they do - throw them out.

Are these loose sausages (not pre-packed) that you have left in the polythene bag? If so, this fat blobbing is not unusual - it is a reaction. They will be ok to eat.

Any doubt at all though, and don't eat them.
