i have wild garlic growing in my garden is it the bulbs above ground i use or dig up and use the root

Hello dude, if they're ransoms, the whole plant is edible, but make sure it isn't lily of the valley, which is poisonous, we had both in our old garden, and they were very similar. If it's 3-cornered leek, which some call wild garlic, you can eat all of it, and you can store the bulbs too. You better HAD dig them up actually, or they will take over your garden!

I'm with Greenrook on this, if you have bulbils above ground then its probably three cornered leek you have, which is so often referred to as wild garlic.
Ramsons has a broader flat type leaf, whereas 3 cornered leek is triangular in cross section.
