Hi, I have a cluster of ground elder in the garden, rather than waste it I would like to make a soup with the leaves. I have read that once it has flowered, eating it should be avoided as it has a laxative effect. Would anyone know whether this would mean, just seeing a single flower amongst the whole group of leaves, or to not to eat any leaves attached to that flower. Thank you

I wouldn't risk it... and would probably channel my energy into just getting rid of it before it takes over the whole garden.
