We have about 300m of blackthorn hedging and in parts gaps at ground level have developed.What would survive in the gaps ...evergreen if pos....slightly alkaline soil.......and inquisitive cattle and sheep!...thanks all :-)

Has the hedge gone gappy because it's too high? Hawthorn would also be a good one.
