Hi, is there such a thing as dye for grout so you can change the colour of it when it is actually in place with the tiles? I have had my bathroom recently tiled and asked the sales assistant for the darkest grey grout, he recommended 'cement grey' stating that it was the darkest grey on the market. However it is really light and I hate it - is there such a thing as a dye I can buy to paint over the grout and make it darker - or is there any tricks of the trade to darken grout?
Thank you.

well i don't know of one , but who knows, and if there is i think it would look a mess trying .
Just an idea...Perhaps you could mix up some oil-based paint to the colour you want, then thin it well with white spirit or whatever. It should soak into the grout and act as a stain when you apply it. Matt would be preferable, as gloss might look a bit odd.
I once accidentally spilled some fountain pen ink onto a tiled worktop - it did a superb job of permanently colouring the grout!
