Removing Patches on Leather Jacket

Hi, This might seem like a strange (silly) question. I'm looking at buying a new black, red and white motorcycle jacket. Problem is, it's got letters and patches sewn on to it. The seller suggested that I could remove them easily as they are just sewn on. I'm worried that this will leave unsightly needle holes where they were. Does anyone know if a dry cleaners or someplace eles could improve the appearance of the jacket.

It will have holes in it, as you say - therefore not much good in the rain, eh. In all my years of biking I haven't seen a way to invisibly mend them. You might also find that the leather is a darker colour underneath where the patches were too. More problems! If you want to use it for riding, I'd advise getting a decent one instead (for both aesthetics and comfort) - you can pick them up pretty cheaply these days.
