Loose parquet floor blocks

Hi there, we have old parquet flooring, not small blocks but big blocks (each block measures approx 7cm x 21cms).

The floor is good but under my office chair (on castors so I roll around) several of the blocks have become loose. You can now lift them right out and whatever was underneath has turned to sandy dust.

What do I use to refix them down? Cheers all.

Not to sound cheeky but you can get the correct flooring glue at just about any DIY Store. It will tell you what to do on the tub but basically lift any loose ones, clean out the previous fixing agents, re-apply, and replace the flooring. Make sure you read about the curing times though on the tub

Hello, thanks for your reply. Well, I went into an old fashioned DIY shop yesterday thinking they would know and they looked a bit blank and said how about Evo-stik? That didn't sound quite right to me so I said I'd look somewhere else.

you dont just "" glue them down "" its a specialist job the surface needs to be dust free and a bitumin or resinlike substance is layed for the blocks to sit on
