Can you use sugar soap on a textured ceiling? Also, how long do I have to wait after using sugar soap on walls and ceilings before I can paint?

Yes, and once it feels good and dry, paint. It'l take anything from an hour or two to a couple of days, depending on room temperature, air humidity, and room ventilation.

Thanks for the advice.

I'm hoping to get the whole house painted by the end of next week. If the weather holds up, things should dry pretty quickly.
