Hi All,

Am considering installation of a wood pellet burner in my home for heating purposes. Any pros & cons you can think of would be appreciated...

Thanks

They're certainly not as easy as flicking on gas central heating or electric radiators but much more environmental friendly. The stockage of the wood chips can be a nuisance. Is it just a kind of wood burner or would it be to heat the central heating system? I know of people with a duel fuel burner for their central heating so they can go away for a week and use the gas, and while they're at home they convert to the wood chips.

Yes, it's a boiler system. The storage is taken care of, I guess I'm a little unsure of the maintenance angle, and basics like how often they need to be cleaned out, how much ash residue etc.
