Anyone have an idea where i can find a stylish smoke detector,something different from the usual white ones?..thanks.

The best ones are called fire angels. They run off the mains. You put them between your light bulb and the fitting in the ceiling and they can be totally hidden by the lampshade. The really good thing is that if you burn the toast you can turn the noise off by flicking the siwtch on and off a few times!
