You will need a boiler engineer to sort this out but it is probably a motor valve, flow switch or boiler switch that has failed.

We inherited a Volkera combi boiler when we moved house 6 years ago.

It was total c*** and it was a relief when 3 years ago it finally broke down and was beyond economic repair at about 4 years old.

I cannot find anything good to say about the boiler or indeed the manufacturer who proved totally unhelpful when I tried to obtain information.

Naturally we did not have a Volkera as a replacement; in fact we replaced the entire system with a modern indirect system with a presurised hot tank and I can honestly say that it fulfills all our needs.

Exactly same prob with my sister- in Laws' Vokera and a boxed set of replacement diaphragms were got but it tuned out to be the micro-switch when renewed all was ok. however diaphragms were replaced also.

Will try to find part Nos.and post them here

stuartw - What model of Vokera ?

to hard@it i have checked the micro switch when i push it in myself the pump runs and the boiler fires up ok . the problem is the plunger on the three port valve dose not move out properly to work the micro switch i think the problem could be the diaphragms what do you think

StuartW Definitely the diaphragms, If you have a HRPC,(Heating Replacement Parts and Controls), in your area they will give you them, just ask for a diaphragm kit for a Vokera - it is standard. Obviously take your boiler model details with you. the one I am talking about was Excell 80 SP.

Good luck

Yeah Domestic hot water diaphraghm is the most likely cause going on the information given, Give the parts centre the manufacturers 'part' number <0870> and they should sort you out!! really easy to change but you may need the 2 'o' rings for the weep tubes that supply the diaphraghm housing as once disturbed rarely seal back up <8542>
