We have water going down the back of the sink and it's running down the wall behind into the cupboard below .This is very complicated :)
The sink is only a gap of about an inch and half from the tiled splashback and has been set into a beechwood worktop .Over time this has started to go all grotty ,the grout is all nasty and any water that gets spashed around is running down the back of it and under the lip of the sink into the cupboard .
This usually only happens when Mr S is doing any washing up .I've tested it with a glass of water :)
My son is going to fit a new sink and worktop for us ....but ..
he's full of good intentions but we may have to wait a while ....
In the meantime is there some sort of waterproof tape that I can buy to shore up this gap pro tem.

Hello all
It was lovely first thing and I was up with the lark. Lark mode didn't last long though and I crept back to bed with tea and toast and didn't surface for quite a while .It's clouded up and looks like rain now .
I don't think I'll be jumping in the air today .

And ....right on cue it's hissing down .No wonder I feel steamrollered .
A little bit of rain and a breeze, Bertha has arrived!
we've got thunder and stair rods again. dogs are unhappy again. same old same old
looks like the sunny south is being swept by bands of Weather all afternoon, some of it very noisy as well as wet.
It's lovely here, I've been out in't garden. I've only come indoors to stop myself over doing it....again.
we hope that last of the weather has gone over here. I have got a million new tubs and two million sacks of compost but no chance of getting out there today. House is a wreck but the dogs have stopped shaking and are asleep so I don't care.

It got out lovely again here too but it's coming down in stair rods again now and will continue to do so for 77 minutes !
the rain that isn't falling now will end in 7 minutes. There'll be more along at 5.46, or not.

Lol..the minutecast amuses me .Mr S went down the high street earlier and asked me if there was a rain free window for shopping .
It's lashing it down here atm and thundering away .Black as your hat out to sea.
haha, I love the way we're obsessed with minutecast...it should have rained here at 4pm, it didn't, and there's no piddlypation for at least 120mins
it's surrounding the North Circular... Old Oak Common has fallen into its clutches... it will be here in 26 minutes... actually, it's here now, so that's another perfect prediction. We're supposed to be dining in Paddington with jno jnr and Lucy at 7, but actually a bit of a walk out in the open at the back of the station, so we may have to carry a protective device.
Oh the North circular, my old stomping ground, I remember being young and footloose and fancy free and shoeless running over the tarmac in the summer when it used to be warm, the tarmac stuck to my feet, ah happy days
can I have a link for the minute cast please?

Hi all. Had a lovely walk today. 5 miles in all. We went 2 miles up to the top of a hill from Whatstandwell to this monument. Called Crich Stand. Lovely sunny, breezy day with only 15 minutes of light rain. We had our lunch up there then a circular tour down to where we started.
Had a another lovely day on Tuesday in Somerset with Steadier and his wife. They took me to the Haynes Motor Museum which was amazing then to a village called Nunney for lunch. There's a small castle ruins there with a moat and we almost got wet (not in it) but just got back to the car in time before the heavens opened. We ended up in The Castle Hotel in Taunton for an hour having a last good talk and coffee before my train. I think I'm going to stay in that hotel next time I go. If I win the lotto that is! Had a good tour of the Somerset country side. Home at 8.30 pm tired but happy. Can't be bad!
Hello Jude, somerset is beautiful, I used to love living there.
Hi jude, yes saw your tower on FB but didn't have a clue.

I have such a sore throat caused by melon, it hasn't reacted lately but today it has and my throat is bad. Same with oranges!
another little day out, Jude!

Well, we dined with son and future dil, and paid the bill like good parents, but really, listening to jno jnr's prospects - they're giving him an office car, he thinks an Audi, and if he meets all his targets this year (which is of course not necessarily going to happen) his bonuses mean he will be earning more at 31 than I ever got in my whole career. So maybe he can pay for his own meals?
