I understand the queen or at least her mother or grand was related to the csar of russia, what other members of the past uk royal family have been linked to other members from other royal families

It would perhaps be easier to name those not linked to other royal families.

Throughout history it has been militarily and politically expedient to ally with other ruling Houses, marriage being the primary means to do so.

Much of the European ruling elite of the 19th and 20th Centuries trace their lineage to Queen Victoria. During the Great War the Heads of State of Britain (King George V), Germany (Kaiser Wilhelm II) and Russia (Tsar Nicholas II) were first cousins.
