Are you having a laugh!

Ever heard of Noah?

Er, luc, I think that the question refers to the Ark of the Covenant (of Indiana Jones fame) built to house the tablets of stone that Moses brought down from Mount Sinai. As the Ark contains the word of God, there are the holiest artefacts in Judaism and the Ark was built specifically to house the tablets according to God's instructions (see Exodus ch 25, v6 passim). The Bible doesn't say who actually built the ark but Moses would certainly have been the driving force (well, the human one anyway).
I thought Spielberg made it
...yeah and Harrison Ford found it....
This was circulated as a part of a intelligence quiz, along with gems such as 'an electric train is traveling at x speed and the wind is blowing in y direction at z speed, which way does the smoke blow?'  So the first and the second postings are both valid
its just a man made fairy story..to brainwash the public into believing it all happend..the bible is a load of rubbish but some people have to have something to cling onto..it makes them feel secure..i am not one of them..and before i get criticised by all and sundry..i have my own thoughts i am not a puppet that does as its told...if you want to believe thats fine by me as long as no one expects the same of me....mullein

Bible...Load of rubbish?...I'm gobsmacked. I think not. The Bible is a very good read indeed. Great Plot, up until the second testement; where it would appear everyone has a different view as to time lines, who did and said what etc...Psalms are a great giggle. As for The Old testement, I've never come across ( no punn ) so many rapes, insests, beatings, mutilations and general gore..Spedid I say.

Reality? Is it Real? Can people, to such a great scale, be influenced by a book cobbled together, revised over time; to suit political needs, by so many people, giving differing accounts, contradictions, and leading to endless debate about it's contents with referance to theological values as well as the realities of creation, then the answer is a resounding yes. My Marketing award goes to the Catholic Church. As they are so found of saying, " It's all about faith, who cares if we don't get it, the fact that we want to get it  is far more important". Splendid I say, burn the condoms..ooops did I say that out loud..

Bangkok, I don't understand your point . You say that there are two possible answers to the question and then quote from a similar question that has only one possible answer: there's no comparison between the two.

Maxi29, sorry for the confusion. I meant that 'Moses did not build the Ark, Noah did' is a valid answer, and 'Moses may have built the Ark of the Covenant' is also a valid answer, depending how you interpret the question.

The train example was just to highlight the type of question where the answer is always that the question is misleading / wrong, and not to draw an analagy to the Moses / Ark issue.

Just being pedantic, Bangkok (for the fun of it, you understand), but the answer cannot be Moses since the question refers to the big ark and however big the ark of the covenant was, it wouldn't be bigger than Noah's ark.

Of course, we know its all myth.......

CreativeTECH - regarding your point about the Catholic Church and it's marketing; did you know that the word Catholic means Universal!
Well yes he did...DUH
