Hello all! I'm currently putting together a victorian style newspaper with a gothic feel. It's in time for Halloween. I have some articles written and have found a few fitting photographs, old adverts and articles but I was wondering if anyone out there could suggest any more websites that might be helpful to me. I've trawled the internet for hours and have found only limited resources. Anything around the victorian era with a spooky or gothic type feel. Pictures, photographs, adverts and articles would all be wonderful. I'd be ever so grateful for any suggestions!

Doverpublications.com is a tremendous resource for clip art, much of it victorian. You can buy topical collections on cd-rom. You may get a giggle from the newsletter of Trader Joe's - go to their web site and click Fearless Flyer. They use victorian cartoons and put silly captions on them. Fearless Flyer is in Adobe, so you can't copy art as easily as from some other places.
This is likely to be something you've already done, but I did a quick Google IMAGE search for Victorian and turned up 38 pages of images. Searching for Victorian Architecture also produced a fair amount of images. I'll leave the copyright problems up to you. www.qgazette.com/News/ 2002/0814/Feature_Stories/ www.cartes.fsnet.co.uk/ sent/dag.htm www.antiquebottles.com/ tradecards/ dig.lib.niu.edu/.../ teachers/lesson2-dress.html
