Usually, showdowns in Vegas end with a winning hand. But in 1880, one ended with a dead lawman. Name him.

It was Buffalo Bill Cody or Wild Bill ********.One of them had a full house which was I think Aces over nines which has been known as the deadmans hand since.
All right I can understand the last 4 letters being blanked but what's wrong with Hick?
It was Wild Bill Hickok. He was holding aces over eights, which to this day is known as the dead man's hand. As an aside, in the book The Charm School, by Nelson DeMille, the American prisoners of war are forced to teach the Russian spies how to pass for Americans. The Americans give them small false knowlege to try to trip the Russians up. One example given is when a POW tells a Russian that aces over nines is a dead man's hand. hhhmmm, archbishop?
Wild Bill died in "1876" in Deadwood, South Dakota, so he is not the dead lawman you are looking for.
