In the Russian alphabet, the equivalent of "S" looks like the Roman "C", and the equivalent of "R" looks like our "P". The Russian alphabet (the Cyrillic alphabet) was invented by a Greek missionary, St Cyril, in the 6th Century (approximately) so there are quite a few similarities between the Greek and Russian alphabets.
