visit to auschwitz

i am preparing a trip to Auschwitz i would like to know which airport is the best to fly into ( i am in Derbyshire), where to stay and how do you get to the camp etc. any advice to make easier trip please.

You can fly to Krakow and stay there, it's a lovely little town with good cheap restaurants and cafes. There are buses to Auschwitz every day, read the Lonely Planet Poland. I went last year and it made a big impression on me. I would recommend all people to go.

I work for an airline and we have previously chartered out our planes and flown to Rzeszow (RZE) a Polish town near Auschwitz for trips to vist the camp.

I would go to Krakow (Katowice is the nearest airport) and stay there. From there you can organise a trip to Auschwitz. Also Krakow is a really lovely city that is well worth visiting
