Aggh it wont heat up the water, only giving out cold... could it be the thermostat do you think?

tried relighting the boiler??

Its a combi boiler ,im getting hot water downstairs and to the bath..the shower is supposed to heat the water as it goes through i think
Oh i dont know then,could be thermostat,are you still getting hot water in the bathroom?

Yes bath and washbowl ok its just the shower, must be the thermostat i think ??
Its got to be the thermostat or something wrong with your shower head,poor gal i hope it heats up!!
Hi Pat. Is it an electric shower, are there lights on it. Ist thing to determine.

What make is the shower, mira etc.

Hi Doc.. its a Gainsborough SCL 8.5 with a push on/ off
Are the lights working. Do they light up when controls operated.
Thats an electric shower 8.5 kwh.
I suspect element has gone.

Notoriously difficult to repair, suggest new one.
Pity I dont live near you, I was a plumber.
Replacement cost say �75. Fitting should be no more than �40.

no lights on it doc, never have been, just on/ off push button to work it and the temp dial

Must be electric with just a cold feed.

Have you checked the fuse which should be 45 amp ?

Will the fuse be in the shower box? sorry if i sound thick !
The main fuse should be in the consumer unit next to the meter. Is there a main switch outisde the bathroom, or a pull switch inside.

None outside the bathroom or a pull switch inside..il try and look at the main fuse tommorrow, thanks Doc
There really should be an isolating switch somewhere, however the main fuse will be in the consumer unit. Have you got a new type cons unit with RCD's.
