The current year includes 12 months.

How come September (seven), October (eight) and December (Ten) seem to be out of sink logically by 2 months..

Is the myth that it was 10 months a year rather then 12 true?

There were 10 months in a year, starting with March. Read about it here.
sink - what you do the washing up in

sync - short for synchronization
yes the romans only had 10 years, this was brought to england when they invaded. In later years it was converted to the 12 month 365 day a year callender as this fitted better with the seasons.
