dont think this is really the rite topic area, but anyways, does anybody know where Steve Irwin and his wife got the name Bindi from for their daughter?

Bindi was the name of his favourite crocodile but where the actual name originates from I haven't a clue.

I am pretty sure that Bindi was the name of a dog that Steve used to own.
