well,it depends on how quick you want to get there,a taxi will take about 45 mins and cost about �15,a car 45 mins as well,there are plenty of coach tours that will take you but that could take a little longer picking people up from other places,its a straight road between coral bay through paphos,towards the airport,and if you follow the signs to aphrodites hills golf course,you cant fail to find the famous rock. and baths
tamirra,The baths of Aphrodite are miles away from Aphrodites rock as the route given by normanthedog.They are way past Paphos and coral bay at the far end of The Akamas peninsula towards Latchi.We had a hired jeep when we drove there,but you could book a jeep safari and have a fun day out or there are probably coach trips which will call at the baths but the Akamas peninsula is rough terrain not suitable for coaches.Aphrodites rock is a lovely beauty spot to visit on another day out and is indeed the other side of Paphos on route to limassol.We love Cyprus have a great holiday.
yea i dont want the rock i want the place where you have to go on a terrible car ride on a mountain, is it troudos mountain and you can dive off the waterfall into very deep freezing water, i need to know the route to there from coral bay, and a map if possible,its not for me its for a mate thats going, ive been several times as my hubby is a cypriott but we dont have a map for her.
tamirra,Aphrodites bath is definately not up Troodos mountain.it is down on the coast at Akamas Peninsula and you would not want to jump into the nasty stagnant water.I really dont know where your waterfall is.Maps are freely given out by tourist board in cyprus or why not pop into W H Smiths or similar and have a quick look at maps in the guide books on sale to see if you can find your waterfall.The bath is indeed in very rough terrain but not up a mountain.Good luck.Your friend will easily be advised where to go once in cyprus.
Tamirra, I know Cyprus pretty well - I live there for part of the year - and your "waterfall/deep freezing water" rings no bells at all. My house is well up in the Troodhos mountains and I've driven most of the mountain roads at one time or another, and the only waterfalls I can think of are the Kaledonia and the Green Valley falls, but at neither of those can you jump into deep freezing water. Are you absolutely sure of your facts? Patsyann's description of the Baths of Aphrodite is quite right - good metalled road to the car-park and a short paved walk up to the mooth of the cave where the stream emerges - and also near to Coral Bay is the recently opened "Adonis Bath" - a shonky (sorry about the Aussie-ism but it describes it perfectly) catchpenny waterfall where you're illegally charged for walking on a public footpath. Sorry - I'm mystified.
all i know is that you have to walk through like a cafe thing and out of the door at the end, then walk down to the water, i have found the place but still not how to get there, it is aphrodites baths Sponsored Links for Paphos

Well that certainly seems like the Baths we've been talking about, but I still don't recognise the big waterfall bit! However, by car rom Coral Bay you have a couple of choices. You can cross the Paphos-Agios Georgios road (the main coast road) and go up through Peyia until you join the ridge road to Kathikas. Follow this to Prodromi ( a T-junction) on the outskirts of Polis. Turn left here, go straight through Latchi and you'll find brown tourist signs to the Baths of Aphrodite. Or you can turn left on to the Agios Georgios main road, then shortly after the Snake Park and the petrol station turn right at a huge mansion on to the new road that takes you up on to the ridge by-passing Peyia, then follow directions as for option 1.
Hi again tamirra and also Narolines.I may have solved the mystery of the waterfall.I was running through Googles search again and came across Adonis Baths and waterfalls .Directions are come out of Paphos heading for Coral Bay and turn off for Leptos Kammas village and there should be signs for the waterfall etc.There is arough road to reach them but on arrival you can swim in the waters.Adonis was Aphrodites Lover so could this be the right place.Google will give you sites to look at pictures which you might be able to recogmise.
tamirra,I have just found this.Google paphosfinder.com.Then scroll down to paphos area photos and click then scroll down left hand side and click on bath of adonis and you will see a set of photos including the cafe and entrance to the waterfall.Looks lovely and worth a visit next time we go.Have never heard of it before.It has been fun trying to help you.
The road to the "Adonis Bath" is the unsurfaced road to Akoursos (turn right out of Coral Bay on to the Agios Georgios-Pafos road, and it's second left; the Peyia road is first, immediately as you turn on to the main road, then there's a little lane up to a hotel and the entrance to a builder's merchant - don't go up there! The Akoursos road is clearly signposted but it's not easy to see where the actual road is; just turn across the wide patch of stone and dust and you'll be OK. The surface runs out about a mile or so up the road (once you've passed all the new buildings). There are small (easy to miss) signs on the right to Adonis Bath, so keep your eyes open (also watch out for stray sheep, goats and horses). If you get to Akoursos you've missed it. The road is easily passable with normal care in an ordinary car - you won't need 4-wheel drive - but it is narrow and twisty in places.
I should have added, tamirra, that if you think that's a "terrible car ride" you've not lived! Next time you're there try the Cedar Valley, or the "road" from the Kelefos Bridge through Pera Vasa, or better still the descent from Stavros tis Psokas in the Pafos Forest down to the main road from Panayia to Polemi. Now THOSE can be hair-raising, especially in a 2-wheel drive hatchback! (Actually I wouldn't recommend tackling Cedar Valley without 4-wheel drive).
We were in |Cyprus last summer and visited the Adonis baths. These are definately what you are talking about .....Absolutely brillant.
We had an unusual way to get there....
It was part of a QUAD BIKE Day from Pathos and the day included a visit to the baths.Dead Easy...Lunch included and Im 49!!! my kids aged 15/17 loved the whole experience too
