My wife's uncle recently died. He was married to a German lady ( sadly deceased as well ) when we were going through his things we found a pair of 'uniform wings'. They have three horizontal bands in silver thread. An eagle in the middle facing to the right and below a circle around a swastika. I originally thought they were Luftwaffer but on some consideration they might be German navy. I was under the impression the swastika was banned in Germany after the war until recently so they are likely to be my wife's aunts father since both her and her brother were only children during the war. Has anyone got any web sites or info that might settle our curiosity.
