To be fair, however, you must face the fact that the confusion is caused by the many religions that muddy the clear waters of Bible teachings with fallacies and legends. When you ignore the traditions and myths and stick to what the Bible actually says, you discover a teaching that makes sense.

Locust ----Comparing the isotope ratios of water on Earth and water from comets and asteroids has revealed that the majority of the Earth's water comes from asteroids.

Locust I think you argument is a bit thin on the ground

IF this was possible it would include trillions on trillions years to put the amount of water here.----
yes the water had to come from somewhere ??

Yes there is a possibility there's water on asteroid and other planets --somewhere

When you think about it most asteroids or comets -- Normandy burned up entering our atmosphere

You’re talking nonsense.

locusts@ //I'm back to the chicken and the egg??//

Yes, this is a massive chicken-and-egg problem that remains, at present, completely scrambled

Naomi@ //Try listening. The world is not 6000 years old. It's not. That's it. //

I know. I keep telling you. The world is far older than 6000 years old. Why don’t you listen!
I wonder if goodlife is aware of the irony when they post something like this

"It is unwise to believe everything presented as truth in the media. While we certainly do not distrust all secular information, we do recognize that “the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one.”—1 John 5:19."

It is certainly very true to consider carefully the source of your information.Thats why it is far better to have a range of different sources all in agreement with each other. Rejecting all sources outside of the bible as being lies or wrong is equally unwise. Believing the bible to be inerrant would be very unwise.

You say you accept that the earth is older than 6,00 years, goodlife. How old do you think the world is then, out of curiosity.
Goodlife, really? I don't remember you saying that. So how old is it - and how long has man been around?
Yes. and to be honest, I really don't want to go through this kind of life - or any other for that matter- again. It is far too difficult and painful, physically and mentally.
oblivion is preferable.
Is Death Really The End?
I think of death this way. When i sleep at night without any dreams, everything known is actually happening somewhere in the world of which I am completely oblivious of untill i wake up,in death we just don't wake up.
Dennisb, I tend to think along the same lines, yes death is the end, just a very permanent state of sleep that you will never awaken, no after life, no heaven or hell, just "THE END" I find it quite comforting actually, not a thing to worry about.
Morning Goodlife, I hate to have to follow you around like this, but you're a bit slippery with your answers. Here's your reply from the other thread:

"AB Editor:"Truthabounds & Goodlife. Are you one person or two in the same building?"
No. I am me, as to truthabounds, that is for him/her to answer."

Which isn't what I was asking.

You'll have to get "truthabounds" to email me if they want to use the site again, I'm sure you know how to get in touch...
Lol Ed, you are expecting an honest answer?

thank you very much for information it was very enlightening the //

once again my imagination runs away with me and I try to think in a positive way.

1. they say that all these planets - asteroids have a water around them.

So why//planets and asteroids how they not produce life has we know it. ????

2. And these planets and asteroids which float around the cosmos at thousands of miles an hour or the speed of light has dropped Water on the earth ??,

but my problem is the amount at times the these asteroids planets have bombarded the earth and some of them as large as the sun or even larger or even smaller would have destroyed the earth

as I say my imagination has runs away with me.

Yes, you are following me around. You had better sort this out. How am I to get in touch with truthabounds? You email them you should have their email.

BTW is this a copy & paste?
@locusts - I am sorry, but i really do not understand your last points.

Planets and Asteroids with water. OK, we know there are some, floating about in the cosmos. Why should they automatically have life as we recognise it? Who do you think says that should be the case? There will be many factors that govern how life starts and evolve. Water is a very important one, but there are others - atmosphere, gravity, temperate climate to name but a few.

And whats this stuff about planets and asteroids with water "travelling at the speed of light"??!!! I know of no - one, anywhere, ever, that has claimed that planets or asteroids travel at the speed of light.
I've always considered R&S to be a superfluous category.
Would you all please read "Against all gods" by A.C. Grayling. It is very short and very cheap and its arguments are clear and elegant, and, as far as I can see, unanswerable.
If you want a divinity who impregnates a mortal woman who then gives birth to a hero whose deeds earn him a place in heaven, why not choose Zeus, Alcmena and Heracles ? same story, and only one of many similar myths going around at the same time. If you want an example of desperate prolonged human suffering at least as bad as crucifixion, why not consider the pain of extended childbirth ? At least crucifixion only used to last a few hours. Childbirth can last days, and childbirth can kill, too.
YES death really is the end after that there is nothing Ziltch. All this talk about everlasting life is bullsh!t put out by the God squad.
Im going to throw myself to the wolves here by admitting that I've only read the first page of this thread. If I go over old ground you have very right to castigate me but I did it for a reason.
I read this topic a lot and I get very involved even though I don't often respond.
To me, this was an instance where Goodlife was trying to do exactly what you are always asking of them. This post reads as though Goodlife actually wrote it.
With that in mid, why is the first page so aggressive?
The first 3 answers are downright hostile and yet Goodlife is doing exactly what you are always asking them to do.
My position? Atheist and incredulous but there's no need for hostility.

But Planets and Asteroids with water. OK,

1 Some FORM of life over thousands of years) ??,

Who do you think says that should be the case?
There will be many factors that govern how life starts and evolve.

2 I see where back to the chicken / syndrome/ which came first the chicken or the egg

Water is a very important one, but there are others - atmosphere, gravity, temperate climate to name but a few.

3 Yes but we have all these on earth to ( atmosphere, gravity, temperate climate

And whats this stuff about planets and asteroids with water "travelling at the speed of light"

Okay slipped off the tongue //but you got the message
I know of no - one, anywhere, ever, that has claimed that planets or asteroids travel at the speed of light

4 It doesn't matter how fast or slow asteroid it is going
for how big planet -s
to hits the earth at high-speed
I'm sure if an asteroid hit the earth it would calls a lot of damage or even destroy it

Specially for you .LazyGun . I hope you understand //now what I'm trying to say thank you --by by
