I know Zoe sang a cover of this song in 1991 and I think a previous version was relesed a year earlier in 1990, but who sang it originally? And was it in the 70s? HELP! I've been trying to find out for a couple of days now, I can't find anything on the net. It's really annoying me!

if it was a cover,the original didnt make it in the top 75(have just checked guinnes book of hit singles).

zoe is the only person listed with a hit of that name.

Chtistine Anu did it after Zoe I think.  Maybe I'm mistaken, but I'm sure I have heard a man singing it with a 70's sound. Cheers though!

zoe is listed as the writer on the album. So i'd assume hers was the original , as for hearing it a year before hand, i think she released it a couple of times before it was a hit.
