Obviously Manchester is not near the seaside. Yesterday here you couldn't see further than your hand because of the sea fret, cold, damp and chilly, yet 5 miles inland in Newcastle it was baking hot, making the Geordie lasses strip to their undies. Mind you, they tend to do that in winter as well!
morning, mike et al. working a 14 hour shift toaday - am very peeved as i woke at 5am and my alarm was set for 6. looking forward to coming home later and resting my weary feet. did my garden out yesterdy, and couldn't help smiling at it when i put the washing out! hope you all have a lovely day x
I class a 14 hour shift as one stage short of slavery. It doesn't take a genius to realise that after 9/10 hours you're not at your peak let alone after 13.
No guess needed, it's obvious. I found the folk of Hereford so kind and welcoming, even to young airmen such as we were. My father hailed from Worcester, which is not very far away, so I was not exactly in alien lands! I loved Worcester and the West Country, though I haven't been back for almost 35 years since all my relatives there died. Fond memories.
As a Christian I was brought up to believe that it was wicked to mock the afflicted, so I will not hear a word said against Sunderland (snigger, snigger, tee hee)
It's very tough at the moment , being the red and white sheep of the family !!
I think I may need to turn my allegiance to Hereford Utd . At least they win on occasion !!!
Ronnie Radford ? They still talk about it here !
Newcastle .... Pah!
My cousin used to play for them ....and then Sunderland.......how very dare he ???
