I think it's Acis and Galatea
I'd guess Acis & Galatea would be the pair in question, though pairings of nymphs & shepherds are not uncommon in Greek myth ("Nymphs & Shepherds Come Away....."); for instance, Paris (of the Trojan War) was brought up as a shepherd and formed a liaison with the nymph Oenone.
