Genes Reunited and 1911 census

I've just received an e-mail from GR telling me that I can now access (for a fee) the 1911 census.
I can purchase 50 credits for £ 5.00, which will probably suit me rather than a half-yearly membership.

I've already purchased the 'household details' via the dedicated 1911.census website, but wanted the complete details available.

However, I can't find how many credits it will take to get access to the 'full transcript'.

Does anyone know ?

Thankyou.

I think it's 10 to look at a transcript and 30 to look at the original document.
oh sorry that's with findmypast.....don't know with Genes Reunited....

Thankyou, craft.
I rather thought it would be something like that.

Oh..........
Well thankyou, anyway :o)
jack you can buy them straight from this site, you don't need to buy a membership

I have a few 1911 credits left that I don't need .... is it just one document you need to look at? If so let me know and I will look at it
lol I'm giving up on this post as I keep writing complete rubbish........my head is spinning at the mo as I'm stuck in my own family history....
Question Author
Thankyou, craft...............I know exactly how mind-boggling this can get :o)

Your offer is very kind, echokilo........however, as my main reason for looking is 'just because' (I'm not sure I'll find out much more to my advantage, and I'm not sure which I ought to plump for asking......) I thank you very warmly but must decline.
I use "find my past. com" it gives me unlimited access to the 1911 census with my yearly subscription

I already subscribe to GR and Ancestry and have paid to 1911.census.com.......I just don't seem to pay enough to any of them to gain 'proper' access to my forebears in 1911...........:o(
Is it an expensive hobby?

I have thought about doing mine....but there are just too many people. It'll be a full time job.

Granddad (Hughie) has has his done years back....he's been traced back to the Marquess of Montrose......James Graham :-)
you could always just try tracing people with your own surname, ummmm - in other words your father, grandfather, ggf and so on back. The temptation to branch out a bit can be quite strong, though, especially if you find someone interesting.
I dont find GR good value for money to be honest
jno....where do we start? These lot talk about great Grandfathers....on the average 10 each. Too many people to trace.
Question Author
It's not really, cazzz.
However, it HAS 'done what it says on the tin' and I've met cousins, of varying degrees, both on-line and in the flesh by using it
I've got back to at least all my great-great-grandparents...........
have you read my beginners guide in family under articles ummmm? You should do some info and fact gathering before you need to start with any websites.
Under the Family thread dottie ? Where is 'Articles'?
On the tab next to questions
Will do Dot.....It's still gonna be hard work.....
