There is a Annie E Churms whose birth was registered in the quarter ending September 1927. Her mothers maiden name was Massey and the registration district was Clun. The reference number is 6a 800.

To find any more information you'll have to buy the birth certificate. You can do this either through the registry office where the birth was registered (in which case the reference number will be meaningless) or through the national site, in which case you will need the reference number.

having trouble getting access, so if anyone can email copy to me i would be very grateful, in the meantime i will keep trying so thanx for any further help given
A copy of what audi1961? The information I gave you was on the findmypast.com website, from the birth index. This is the only information available on the internet. The only way you will obtain more information is by buying the certificate. This costs 7.

have had someone email me a page from a scottish site in the past and yes i know how to get it but as i said i am having trouble accessing the site for whatever reason but am still trying to do it so i can have a copy of the original birth record.
Ah - but Scotland is different to England and Wales. For Scottish records I believe that you can pay for the information on the internet, I don't have Scottish ancestors myself (at least, I haven't found any so far), so have not had occasion to use this facility. For events registered in England and Wales the only way you can access the information on a birth, marriage or death certificate is to actually buy the certificate and have it posted to you.
I can confirm what Her Majesty says. Scots records are available to view (at a price) over the net except in the case of unfilmed records which have to be ordered just like English documents. As a Scot married to an Englishwoman my ancestors are much cheaper than hers!
