i would like to know when the Swedish Airforce were active in England during the second world war, and where in particular they may have been based. My aunt married a Swedish pilot but he was killed during a bombing mission. She lived in Bridlington, but was a driver during the war and was in the WRAF

cheers

i have looked for her marriage on the GRO index from 1942 to 1945 and not found it so maybe i should look earlier.

Hi
yes i realised that after looking at the Swedish airforce site, i know they were involved with conclicts supporting Norway in 1939, but I think now that a Swede in the RAF may have been the answer.

cheers
